2014 Wine & Cheese

For the 12th edition of its traditional dinner Wine & Cheese, GUS has paid all profits from the evening to the GUS Foundation. More than 200 persons attended for a pleasant musical atmosphere evening whith the benefit of a good cause.

2013 GOLF TOURNAMENT
Thursday, Septembre 12th, 2013

For its 12th edition, GUS Foundation held a golf tournament at the Club de golf l'Île de Montréal that raised $25 000 for the foundation.



 

2012 POKER TOURNAMENT
On February 8th Sophie Lapointe wife of David Ryan at Xpertek Construction/GUS in Ottawa became the 1st woman to ever win the OIBA(Ottawa Insurance Brokers Association) Charity Poker Tournament. In representing GUS she won 5 000$ for our charity foundation. Thanks and congratulations !

 

2011 GOLF TOURNAMENT

The tenth edition of the Montreal golf tournament was great success with 124 golfers. 

The activity allowed to gather $28, 000.

FOUNDATION'S GOLF TOURNAMENT 2010

For its ninth edition, La Fondation GUS's Golf tournament was at the Club de Golf de la Vallée du Richelieu

GOLF TOURNAMENT -  MONTREAL EDITION
SEptember 17th,2009

The eighth edition of the Montreal golf tournament was great success, reuniting 144 golfers.  The tournaments's theme was "Give them a roof", and was presided by Mr. Serge Lebel of BCF lawyers.

The activity allowed to gather $27, 000.

Furthermore, during the evening, Mr. Serge Blanchette donated an extra $15, 000 in the name of Hockey Old Timer International.

The evening was closed with the presentation of a humourous DVD made by Humour Video.  Pure entertainment was sponsored by Sinistre Montréal and Lora Construction.

     
 

GOLF TOURNAMENT -  QUEBEC EDITION
June 8th, 2009

The third edition of the Quebec golf tournament was held June 8th at the Club de Golf de Lévis, presided by Ms. Carole Théberge, administrative Vice-president of communications and public relations of the CSST.

The atmosphere on the course was convivial and the weather was superb.  The tents allowed to rest, and to regain their strength and their good mood to finish the day.

The fund-raising activity reunited close to 130 golfers, generating $16,800 during the dinner.  In total, the aunction and the balloon sale, the activity generated almost $25,000.

   
 

FRIENDLY HOCKEY GAME AT THE BELL CENTER
January 11th, 2009

For a second year in a row, La Fondation GUS organised a friendly hockey game opposing insurers, disaster experts, and GUS franchisees.

THe activity took place Sunday January 11th, 2009, in the prestigious Bell Center.  With hockey comes supporters; over 300 fans were cheering for their star player.

The national anthem was performed by Ms. Gabrielle Jacob, of Meubles Jacob (GUS franchisee).  This was her second participation for the event.

THE ATMOSPHERE...
We could feel the players'excitement.  Amongst them, the coaches, Mr. Réjean Houle, ambassador of the Montreal Canadians ans Mr. Doris Landry of Groupe Urgence Sinistre, were ready to support their team and play strategically...

The players had fun on the ice and demonstratrated their fellowship and team spirit.

The activity was closed with dinner at the restaurant "Mise-O-Jeu" at the Bell Center.

A total of $6,000 was collect that day to help disaster victims without resources.

     

Here are the results of the draw in favour of La Fondation GUS, carried out Sunday January 11th, 2009, 2 PM at the Belle Center, under the supervision of the Lemieux Nolet firm, chartered accountants.  We send our thanks to everyone who contributed to make this fund-raiser a success.
